All Around Shanghai

These are the last of my Shanghai photos. No big theme here except that they are all from Shanghai (except one from Kaifeng that I had to sneak in). A few of them are about the Shanghai roads, a few about construction density, a few about the Shanghai railway station, and a few are about the beautiful Shanghai skyline. Enjoy!

The Pearl

The Oriental Peal in Shanghai. Taken from the bund with a telephoto lens.

Peaking at the Pearl

Apartment Construction
Highrises under construction in northern Shanghai. Taken out my laundry room window.

Apartment Construction 2
Buildings under construction north of Wujiaochang, Shanghai. Taken from my bathroom window.
Shanghai Density
The Puxi side of Shanghai, taken from the Guanghua Towers at Fudan. I didn't like this photo while I was in Shanghai, but after returning to Oakland I was struck by the insane population density portrayed in this photo. Look at all those high rises!
Wujiaochang
A crosswalk in Wujiaochang.
Kaifeng Man
A man stares as I pass by his storefront in a hutong alley in Kaifeng, Henan, China.
Shanghai Rail Station
Rail cars at the Shanghai Railway Station.

Shanghai Biker
A residential neighborhood near the Shanghai Railway Station.
Streetside Repairs
A bike repair stand on the side of the street in Shanghai.
Pudong Cliche
Obligatory shot of Shanghai's Pudong skyline from the Bund. Hard to be original with this shot without extraordinary weather or lighting.
