Shanghai by iPhone

The iPhone 4S camera is great because it's always with you, is of decent quality, and can take photos completely silently. For stealthy snapshots and spontaneous street grabs it really can't be beaten. Below is a set of photos taken of the course of my stay in Shanghai, all taken on my iPhone.

Fudan Snacks
A night market in front of an entrance to Fudan University, Shanghai. Loved the colors of the umbrellas (and why did they all have the exact same umbrella??).
Shanghai Red
A women walks down the street in the French Concession, Shanghai.
Tonghe Storm
Storm clouds roll in over the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Campus. I was drenched in a microburst about 30 seconds after this photo was taken.
Waiting in Hangzhou
Train passengers wait for their train to arrive in the Hangzhou South Railway Station.
Fudan
Student housing at Fudan University, Shanghai.
Wudong Lu
Storefronts on Wudong Lu, Shanghai. I like this shot because it feel very representative of a typical mixed residential/commercial neighborhood in major Chinese cities.
Typhoon Observer
A waiter at a local Hunan restaurant looks out at the strong rain and wind during an August typhoon in Shanghai.
Closed
The protective grate on a storefront on Wudong St., Shanghai.
Shanghai Subway
Commuters on the Shanghai subway.
Best Friend
A chef in a neighborhood Hunan restaurant plays with the family dog during down time after the lunch rush.
