Spring Quarter Maroon Images

I'm back in China (again :P ) studying in Shanghai with a language program sponsored by the US State Department's Critical Language Scholarship. Photos and stories to come soon, but first some last photos from spring quarter that I took for the Maroon. 

Larry Henderson (right) ponders his next move during a chess match against Sean Buckner II in Hutch Commons. I had a hard time deciding which one of these two images I liked best so I'm posting both.

 This is the one that ultimately ran in print.

The Chicago Maroon's quarterly magazine "Grey City" focused on crime spring quarter, and I got to do a photo shoot in a dark alley with two UCPD officers and a squad car. The lighting was a bit tricky and by the end I was just shooting natural light. This shot ran as the cover.
