Grey Whale Cove

I was fortunate enough to return home to see my family in the Bay Area for two weeks in December. While I was home, a friend and I visited Grey Whale Cove - one of the many small beaches carved into the coastline in Pacifica. After more than five months in dusty Delhi, experiencing the Pacific Ocean, a clean beach, and a vibrant winter sunset was a treat. You can't find scenery like this in Delhi!

Tilden Views

I'm back in Chicago now but I have yet to post my last set of images from the Bay Area. These are from the Sea View trail in Tilden Park, where my photography bud and I witnessed a stunning winter sunset.   My telephoto lens was very handy for getting images of the Golden Gate Bridge and downtown San Francisco. Enjoy!

The Mormon Temple Revisited

Unfortunately it was raining for most of my spring break, but I did manage to get out and shot one sunset from the Mormon temple. The Mormon Temple in Oakland has a great view of the bay, and I found that having a telephoto lens opened up a whole new set of possibilities. Enjoy!

Harper to Home

Here are a few shots I've taken in the past weeks. The first I took just minutes after I finished my last final of the quarter: I went on a little photo expedition to celebrate. The second photo is my go-to downtown Oakland shot that I take from out my bedroom window when the sunset is nice. The last is downtown San Francisco from Pier 14. My friend and I walked to the end of the dock and really wanted to have the lights along the pier to be lit in our photos. We waited and waited, but eventually gave up and decided to head home. Of course, right after I had put away my tripod the lights turned on. Oh well...

Back to the Bay

I survived finals week and finished my first quarter at The University of Chicago! I'm on winter break now so expect more photos coming soon. To celebrate my return to the blissfully snow-free Bay Area, here is a photo I found in my library and realized I never posted on the blog. It is a panorama of downtown San Francisco from Treasure Island.

Treasure Island

We found this abandoned truck behind an abandoned gas station. It was a little beat up...

Obligatory black and white cute dog photo.
