Egypt Protests in Downtown Chicago

Today I went downtown with some friends to check out Michigan Ave. On my way over we noticed a large number of police officers congregated on the side of the road. We were told that they were there to keep the peace in an upcoming protest against the Egyptian government, but the protest hadn't started yet. An hour later I walked by the same place and found it filled with protestors calling for democracy and reform in Egypt. Luckily, I had my camera with me and was able to get some good shots. More details on the protest here. Enjoy!

Great photos!

I attended the action today and was just searching the net to see what coverage if any we generated. I was pleasantly surprised that there was mainstream media coverage and it was fairly accurate. Something of a rarity these days with regards to peace and justice activism.

Due to the miracle of the net and search engines I stumbled on your blog.
Your photos are superior to what the professionals took and I particularly like that you let the photos speak for themselves without commentary.

Thanks for your efforts in photography and thanks for sharing!
