Logan Arts Center
The University of Chicago recently finished construction on the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts - finally upgrading the University's arts facilities from the deteriorating Midway Studios. Like all of the University's recent construction projects the building has a sleek modern design that makes liberal use of glass, brushed metal, and concrete. All the modern stuff still feels funny in contrast with the old gothic quads, but I kind of like the effect. The new buildings are also great places for architecture photography. I had a fun time just walking around the exterior of Logan last week exploring the different architectural elements. Here is what I came away with.
